Characterized by the tall steep hills and narrow valleys, the Blue Mountains of Southern India or Nilgiri Hills as they are called locally, are famous for producing outstanding teas with nutty smokey flavors. The Craigmore plantation is owned and operated by Craigmore Plantations, Ltd, and covers over 2800 acres of high elevation tea gardens in the Nilgiri Hills, which produce 2000 tons of tea annually. Close to Ceylon teas in taste than any other teas, you will find Craigmore teas surprisingly brisk, and robust in taste.
