About the estate
Among the well known names of estates on the slopes of Darjeeling the names of Happy Valley and Lopchu stand out. Situated between Darjeeling and Teesta, the Lopchu tea is instantly recognized by connoisseurs the world over for its fragrant leaf. Lopchu garden has about 226 acers under tea production and much of the tea gets exported to Germany and other European countries.
Lopchu estate is an extremely popular brand in India, and I remember the lazy summers when I used to sit down with a book on the verandah sipping cups of Lopchu immersing myself into fantastic tales of Indian mythology
This rare tea is graded Suchong, and produces a very aromatic, delicate golden brew that is perfect for mid afternoon, or with lighter creamier foods.
